Remnants of the Past: Jeanne D’Amico
Between the idea of a clay piece and the making, there is a dialogue with potters of the past. Ceramicist Jeanne D’Amico shares the common influences and traditions of these potters, yet brings her own perspective and techniques to the making process. Using pinch pots, clay slabs and coiled forms made by hand, she incorporates rich surface patterns, textures and glazes to create functional pieces made for everyday use.
