Melissa focuses her work on the still life. Her love for the small things in life draws her in to exploring objects in the world around her. She combines techniques of the Dutch Golden Age and contemporary realism to create the unique compositions and techniques in her work. Her goal is to elevate the still life and bring forgotten objects to life. Melissa graduated from BYU with a degree in Visual Arts. Since then she has worked with various galleries and continues to oil paint daily.
