Photography by Roy DiTosti

6 Bridges Gallery is pleased to present “Obsolete Military Structures” — Photography by Roy DiTosti, on view March 3 – April 11, 2020. There will be an artist reception on March 7, 7:00–9:00pm.

“Obsolete Military Structures” examines the current state of deterioration and unique architecture of leftover and repurposed military facilities, old forts from the 1800’s, and ammo storage bunkers from WWII. The photographs in this exhibit were made at various locations along the Massachusetts coast line; in Pensacola, Florida; and inland at the Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge near Maynard. DiTosti began this ongoing project around 2002. The most recent photographs in this exhibit are from the summer of 2019.
