6 Bridges Gallery is pleased to present “Listening to the Wind” — Drawings and mixed media works on paper by Natalie MacKnight, April 17 – May 26, 2018. There will be an artist reception on Saturday, April 21 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
In her exhibit, “Listening to the Wind,” MacKnight presents a series of meditations on the sense of place she finds in nature. The story begins with a reflection on her childhood fascination with rocks and expands to an appreciation of the subtle ways that nature has of getting us to pay attention. Through drawing, painting and collage, MacKnight reveals the latent energy of rocks, celebrates the power of trees to awaken our senses, and explores the horizon as an intangible element so conducive to reflection.
